Humidity Indicator Card

Bagged desiccant is intended for use in removing moisture from the air in packages and closed spaces to prevent corrosion, mold, mildew, and oxidation (rust).
A Humidity Indicator Card (HIC) is a simple-to-use instrument useful for measuring Relative Humidity (RH) percentage in any sealed environment, such as packaging. The HIC provides visual feedback of the RH percentage in the environment as a color change when exposed to a given percentage of RH. HICs are calibrated in different types to measure RH percentages from 5% to 60%. Humidity Indicator Cards are reversible by proper heating methods.

Key Features

These cards are equipped with various distinct dots, each designed to change color at different humidity levels, providing a clear visual indication of relative humidity.

Ideal for use in packaging, storage, and shipping applications, our Humidity Indicator Cards help ensure the integrity and quality of your products by alerting you any potential moisture issues.

Applications

Withdraw HIC in quantity factually needed, do not expose HIC in open air for longer than 1 minute.

In the case that HIC has changed its color prior to the usage, expose it to a temperature of 82°C and above until the color turns blue. This process helps to return the color change, allowing the card to be reused

Store HIC in original container together with desiccant. Always keep HIC in dry and cool environment away from sun light.

How to Read HIC
Color of Spot
Color Blue Pink Purple
Read The enviroment RH percentage is lower than the percentage indicated by the spot. The enviroment RH percentage exceeds the percentage indicated by the spot. The enviroment percentage is the one indicated by the spot which is about to change from blue to pink color.
